Over the last 10 years, the Institute has been providing world-class and cutting-edge educational, research, policy and networking services of local, national and international significance.

We are focused on empowering the most marginalised communities through direct service delivery, while enabling organisations to achieve, measure and improve their social impact. Led by its founder and Director, Professor Dr. Theo Gavrielides and staffed with a dedicated team of experts, interns and volunteers, the IARS International Institute is known for its robust, independent, evidence-based approach to solving current social problems. We are acknowledged internationally for our expertise in justice, equality and youth, and have delivered projects in areas such as restorative justice, rehabilitation, human rights and inclusion, citizenship, public services and user-led research/ evaluation.
Greece:

KMOP Social Action and Innovation Centre


KMOP is one of the oldest Greek NGOs with more than 35 years of accumulated experience in the provision of services to disadvantaged groups. KMOP’s main areas of expertise include social welfare and health, employability and human rights protection, scientific research and the development of know-how in social policy issues. Apart from direct provision of services through decentralised community based facilities (Three Group Houses and one Day Care Centre for mentally ill as well as counseling centers in various towns) KMOP is also actively involved in both national and EU/international projects addressing social issues particularly focusing on low-skilled youth and long term unemployed, victims of violence and trafficking, disabled, elderly, migrants and minorities.
Romania

Asociatia Habilitas - Centru de Resurse si Formare Profesionala


ABILITAS Association was created in 2007 with the aim to contribute to the development of adult and youth education in Romania. Habilitas also delivers professional training and counseling services in social, psychological and educational projects and programs.

In present time, Habilitas is authorized by the Romanian National Authority of Qualifications to deliver professional training for the qualification "Home caregiver for elderly" and to issue qualification certificates, EU recognition. Habilitas is continuously developing training programs for elderly home care workers, according to their identified needs (improving practice, communications skills, improvement of personal skills, respecting elderly rights, identifying and preventing elder abuse) and works in projects focused on the elderly involvement in the community.
Other services: recruitment (social assistant, psychologist, home care workers), assessments services for home/institutional elderly care. In 2015, Habilitas has also created a Social Economy Structure which is offering home care services for older persons in Bucharest, with qualified staff.
Habilitas is also member of the international network working on abuse INPEA (International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse) and is founding member of the national network SenioriNET, a network of 58 NGOs that are home care services providers for older persons. Also, Habilitas has created the first Network of Seniors Volunteers in Bucharest, including 75 older persons trained by Habilitas as volunteers and who activate in different social institutions.
Habilitas is not so familiar with Erasmus but is very keen to learn through the proposed strategic partnership and the coordinator who has led on a number of successful Erasmus consortia.
Italy:

Anziani e non solo


Anziani e Non Solo is a NGO working since 2004 in the field of social innovation, with a specific focus on management of project and realization of services and products in the field of welfare and social inclusion.
The activities carried out by Anziani e Non Solo concerns:
– Active ageing, intergenerational activities and support to frail and dependent elderly
– Training and support to family carers, informal and formal carers
– Prevention of gender based violence, elder abuse and discrimination
– Fight against poverty, support to employability and to social inclusion of disadvantaged groups

DIESIS COOP


DIESIS coop is a non-profit European Research and Development Service for the Social Economy, Cooperatives and participative Enterprises. DIESIS mission is to support the development of the social economy, in particular of cooperatives and social enterprises in Europe via the implementation of knowledge-based activities, such as training, project design, consulting and advisory services, technical assistance and research.

Diesis’ members are 16 organisations from 7 countries. Its members are employer’s organisations, enterprises, federations, advisory and development groups, as well as organisations specialised in the know-how transfer recognised as being part of the social economy in Europe and worldwide. DIESIS members benefit from a network with over 80,000 enterprises all over Europe. Diesis works in partnership with like-minded European networks/platforms/think tanks.

DIESIS has been selected by the EU Commission for the GECES expert group this group is made up of representatives of the Member States, local authorities, social entrepreneurs' organisations, the banking and finance sector and the academic and university sector. DIESIS has been involved in several European project as technical partner. Its main activities are Project management support by a highly-skilled professional team together with administrative and accounting personnel; Flexible training programmes for cooperatives and social economy entrepreneurs, providing a European and international dimension to their activities; Training young workforce in business management in order to encourage greater professionalism and fairness in the social economy; Studies on social economy and cooperatives issues carried out using the expertise of both its members and internationally recognised experts; Technical support to governments and institutions in the field of social economy and related initiatives.

DIESIS COOP has a great European experience. DIESIS is multi-faceted, multi-cultural and multi-lingual and has a broad network of international experts with specialist skills in the co-operative and social economy sector at its disposal. Thanks to its European net it is able to provide a significant contribution to the project by means of its high level competences and skills, participation of experts, creation of relations with enterprises and organization of meetings and seminars.
